BLACK PHOENIX PROJECT
Conceived by concept artist Vitaly Bulgarov and photographer Maria Skotnikova, the Black Phoenix Project is the culmination of their “10 days of mech” session whereby Vitaly and Maria set out to “create 1 mech design every day in 3d, from start to finish, without creating preliminary 2d sketches, during non-stop 10 days period”.
Nice one.

IT’S KEVIN AMISH SEX PISTOLS
Here’s another sketch from my most recent show - Kevin Eldon’s ‘It’s Kevin’. It’s a very faithful re-imagining of the infamous Bill Grundy Sex Pistols interview. And you’ll find a side-by-side comparison of the two here.
A lot of effort went into this sketch to ensure it was as authentic as possible. The Production Designer Simon Rogers and his crew recreated the set identically. I matched it shot for shot with the original, and there were superb performances from Peter Serafinowicz, Matt Berry, Bridget Christie and of course Kev himself. Kev added the additional background audio - laughing etc in the dub, and we even dumped the whole thing down onto VHS and re-imported it for maximum visual authenticity.
CHANGING HISTORY
Here’s the first of a few recent clips I’ll be posting from various shows I’ve been busy with. This is a sketch called ‘Changing History’ from Kevin Eldon’s BBC2 show It’s Kevin.
HARDWARE: SHIPBREAKER
Once more I find myself pining for a gaming PC. The reason? I’ve just seen the trailer for ‘Hardware: Shipbreaker’. If you liked Homeworld and its sequel half as much as I did, you will want this game more than any other. Because it’s made by ex-relic employees, the very ones in fact, who designed, visualised and made those two amazing homeworld games. Can’t wait. Just need to get that PC. That’s all. Just a nice, little, gaming PC.
